Cultural immersion experience with the agricultural community of Peña Blanca. It is located next to the Biosphere Reserve of Fray Jorge that is characterized by an ecosystem that survives thanks to the “camanchaca” or “mist”. The “atrapanieblas” or mistcatchers are a system that the community uses to get moisture from the clouds so they can water their crops and even generate their own beer. This community work has been able to use tourism as a tool to promote conservation of the natural resources and local development.

This natural sanctuary contains rocky glacier mountains and various wetlands of the Andean mountain range. There is a variety of flora and fauna like the condor, vizcachas, guanacos, llaretas, soldaditos cordilleranos, among others. The most interesting encounter is with the arrieros or cowboys of the Andes, they are the ones who make this unique terrain their place of work keeping the traditions of the herding along the Andes range still alive.
