Join us for a getaway in Melbourne CBD to celebrate New Years!

Whether you are coming from interstate or are a local to Melbourne, this trip is the perfect way to wrap up 2024.

You will stay in the heart of Melbourne CBD and explore the surroundings as a group.

During this getaway you will get to know the other travellers and celebrate the New year together.

This New years Eve experience is well suited to those who want to avoid the crowds and have a chilled out countdown to the new year.

As a group you will watch the fireworks in real-time from your CBD accomodation. This way we are celebrating New Years in a much more sensory friendly environment to suit everyone!

Arrive in Melbourne CBD to meet the group and your guide!

You will all meet in Melbourne and get to know your guide. The fun starts here!

Settle into the accomodation and plan our food shop

You will all have a chance to settle into the accomodation and gather your thoughts before we work together to create a shopping list. We will plan our breakfasts for the next 2 days and also our New Years Eve dinner, which we will cook in our accomodation.

Grab some supplies and get ready to be out for the afternoon

As a group, you will all head to the local supermarket where you will all work together to get our food for the next 2 days in Melbourne.

Escape room!!!

You will head to a local Escape room and work together to solve the challenges we face! Let's see if you can escape before the time runs out!

Get Dinner at a Local Venue

Wrap up day 1

Make breakfast and get ready for the last day of 2024!

You will work together to make a delicious breakfast with the supplies we bought. Pancakes anyone? We will all be practicing our skills in the kitchen.

After breakfast we will get ready to head out for the day.

Grab a GoBoat down the Yarra River!

We will be captaining our own boat!

For an hour we will boat don the Yarra River to take in the sights of Melbourne. These comfy boats with a table and seats, is a comfortable way to relax and get to know the group. We will take turns steering the boat and have a small picnic whilst on board.

Queen Victoria Market

At the market we will try some authentic Melbourne street food and shop for quirky knick knacks and collectibles that make the market such an attraction.

Melbourne has one quirky dessert scene! From food trucks to alleyways, Melbourne CBD has many places to explore dessert options. Whether you want to try something new and funky, or a simple ice cream, now the time.

Rest

Go back to the accommodation and have a rest.

Cook a homemade dinner

You will work together as a team to cook a delicious dinner that caters for everyone.

Perhaps even share your goals and plans for the new year?

Games and/or Movies

Time to unwind and socialise. Bring your favourite board game or card game! Perhaps followed by a movie?

Start Counting down to 2025!

To celebrate New Years, we will watch the fireworks from the comfort of our accomodation! We will welcome the new year in a sensory friendly environment surrounded by likeminded individuals.

Start the New year with a good night's sleep

Make breakfast and begin cleaning up

You will make your final breakfast of the trip and start packing your bags.

Together you will clean up the accomodation to return it to the way you found it when you all arrived.

Check out and say our goodbyes

Now it's time to check out of the accomodation and say goodbye to the friends you began 2025 with.

HOW TO REGISTER/BOOK:

Deposit amount: $250 (self funded)

Total costs vary depending on the package booked: $2665

We can arrange packages from other airports.

NDIS

If you're on the NDIS, you may be able to claim the cost of the support with NDIS funding, or STA/respite if it is relevant to your goals. Speak with your NDIS planner, LAC or plan manager if you are unsure.

Self-managed:
When it's open for bookings, simply go to the $ invoice tab, choose package, and pay your deposit.

You will get a reminder when you need to pay the rest of the cost. Claim back from NDIS afterwards.

Plan managed:
Ask your plan manager if you can spend your funding on this service. Ask us if you need an invoice to give to your plan manager. Once the plan manager has confirmed the invoice is accepted, you can pay the deposit. The plan manager will either pay it upfront, or hold the funds until after the trip. If so, pay the instalments and claim back when we send you your receipt.
