Welcome to Algonquin Park SUP Touring & Camping Adventure!
Come explore Algonquin Park by paddle board with Blue Jellyfish SUP Adventures. It's time to level up your SUP touring and camping game with the support of knowledgeable guides while enjoying all this iconic Canadian park has to offer. Our Algonquin Park SUP Touring & Camping Adventure is the perfect way to get started with camping while you improve your paddle board skills. You will learn everything you need to know to plan and launch your own SUP overnight trips.
Algonquin Park SUP Touring & Camping Adventure is for intermediate to advanced-level paddlers and is designed to blend paddling, exploration and fun while teaching you what navigating and trip planning for a coastal environment is like.
Glide through the pristine Canadian shield wilderness on your stand up paddleboard, while camping under the stars each night. This trip is perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who want to explore Ontario's beautiful landscape by water and land. Wildlife is abundant and your paddleboard and secluded campsite are the perfect vantage points to see it all.
The adventure begins at Algonquin Park Access Point #1 where we will spend the first night in cosy, off grid bunkhouses on Kawawaymog Lake. We will spend the first evening learning about loading our gear on our boards and enjoying a short paddle to get us warmed up for the next day's adventures. We will be reviewing your paddling skills on the water and talking about all things SUP camping. A delicious hot dinner will be included at The Broken Paddle Patio overlooking the lake.
Early the following morning we pack our hot breakfast catered by The Broken Patio and set off on our paddle out to our campsite with our loaded boards. Landing at our new site, we learn about setting up camp and backcountry camping etiquette principles such as Leave No Trace. Options to relax at camp or paddleboard further to explore more of the gorgeous pine clad shoreline.
Our last 2 days are either campsite moves or spent exploring from our wilderness base camp depending on park permits and weather conditions. We cook our own meals and learn all about navigation and trip planning as we paddle along in this scenic setting.
Bring your bathing suit, binoculars, cameras, art supplies or fishing rod to enjoy your downtime as you commune with nature in the way you love best.
This Algonquin Park SUP Touring & Camping Adventure combines exploring this incredible park and skill building following the Paddle Canada Coastal Touring and the Paddle Canada Camping Basics programs. Participants learn how to navigate through the wilderness as well as select and set up campsites that leave no trace. The goal for this trip is to ensure you feel confident to load up your board, hit the water and get out SUP camping knowledgeably and safely!
Certification is available and included but optional for both of these disciplines.

1 NIGHT in a Bunkhouse & 2 NIGHTS Camping in Algonquin Park
We spend our first night on the shores of Kawawaymog lake in Bunkhouse-style accommodations. Ease into camping with your first night in simple bunk beds, no wifi and shared bathrooms. Bunkhouses sleep 3-4 people.
The next 2 nights are spent tent camping deeper in the park. Campsites will have no amenities except for outhouses and if we are lucky, a picnic table. Enjoy the serenity and simplicity of backcountry camping, waking to the call of the loon and sunrises over the lakes.

MEET YOUR SUP LEADER
Hi! I'm Pam!
I am a certified Paddle Canada SUP Basic & Advanced Flatwater Instructor, as well as a Coastal Touring 1 Instructor. My goal is to share a love of the ocean, from the perspective of paddling and ocean literacy in order to foster connections between people and between people and the sea. My teaching style emphasizes safety & technical skills while having fun in a positive, supportive environment.
Having studied Marine Biology at the University of Guelph & Commercial Photography at Sheridan College, I am blending my passions through teaching SUP in BC and ON. My love of the water has led me to many aquatic pursuits - canoeing as a child, competitive sailing, sprint canoe/kayak racing and long-distance Outrigger Canoe racing before discovering the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding.
