Welcome to the Discovery Island Lodge!
This 5-day paddleboarding adventure will take place on Quadra Island and includes 4 nights of accommodations at Discovery Islands Lodge on Quadra Island.
This experience is for paddleboarders who are interested in exploring their coastlines for day tours and multi-day overnight trips. You will be introduced to navigating in a coastal environment, route planning, and more with an emphasis on knowledge, navigation and safety skills.
The scenic waters of the Discovery Islands provide the backdrop for learning and exploring that will have you confidently and safely setting off on your own paddling adventures.
If you would like to complete the Paddle Canada Certification, for an additional fee.
GET INTRODUCED TO SUP EXPEDITIONS
Our Intro to Expedition Courses is ideal for women who want to improve their paddleboarding skills and work towards multiday or overnight camping trips. You can opt to get Paddle Canada Certified or just come along to enjoy full days on the water and the camaraderie of a women's-only group.
Discovery Islands Lodge, is the perfect place to hone your paddleboarding skills and explore the amazing coastal environment around Quadra Island. It is also a great way to learn all more paddleboarding, from navigating in a coastal environment to route planning, as well as group management and self-care. After this program, you will feel more confident to take your own overnight trips or perhaps attend a more challenging expedition camping program.
STAY AT DISCOVERY ISLANDS LODGE
Welcome to one of the nicest waterfront accommodations for adventurous people. Located on Quadra Island, Discovery Islands Lodge offers easy access to an un-crowded paradise of the clear sheltered ocean, marine parks, abundant wildlife, spectacular rainforest, and towering mountain vistas.
On this adventure, our group gets full, exclusive use of the top two floors of the lodge, and shared access to the dock and downstairs. There are six regular rooms that have two single beds, one double bed, or single bunk beds. Maximum 2 people per room. Beds provided with clean bottom sheet, pillow, and pillow case. There are two showers with hot & cold running water, and there is also a wood-fired sauna on the dock.

MEET YOUR LOCAL GUIDE
Pam is a local guide who specializes in stand-up paddleboarding and ocean literacy. She is a certified Paddle Canada SUP instructor and has studied Marine Biology at the University of Guelph and Commercial Photography at Sheridan College. Pam's goal is to share her love of the ocean with others through paddling and to foster connections between people and the sea. Her teaching style emphasizes safety and technical skills while also having fun in a positive environment. Pam has been involved in many aquatic pursuits over the years, including canoeing, competitive sailing, sprint canoe/kayak racing, and long-distance outrigger canoe racing. She currently enjoys stand-up paddleboarding and loves sharing this sport with others. If you're looking for an experienced and knowledgeable guide to help you explore the local waters, Pam is your woman.
