Îles de la Madeleine, QC, Canada 8 DAYS

Amazing SUP Experiences

We will be on the water most days. A peaceful sunrise paddle in the lagoon, an exhilarating down-wind paddle to nudge your boundaries or an evening paddle to bask in the glow of sunset followed by dinner and music around a fire on the beach. Paddling leisurely along beautiful red cliffs we will go "paddle birding" to sight some of the many species of marine birds migrating through the area. Explore sea caves and arches, sandy beaches, and gentle waves along the way. We take beach breaks with gourmet picnics and all paddle outings are "challenge by choice" including instruction so you will always feel confident and safe on the water. BONUS:  you have the option to earn a Paddle Canada Basic and/or Advanced Flatwater SUP certification.

Gourmet Local Food & Private Chef

Feasting along the Magdalen Island's Circuit de Saveurs (Food Trail) we will discover fresh delicacies at local fromageries, pâtisseries, micribrasseries and bistros. Bringing home our wares, our very own private chef will cook us up healthy, culturally immersive meals.

Here, local products are king. The unique signature of local products come from natural pantries, the land and the sea. The following are specialties of the Islands that you will get to taste during your stay; Lobster, Pommes de pré, Smoked Herring, Clam Chowder, Pot-en-pot (Seafood pie) and Salted Meat Stew. Ooh la la! Don't worry if you have food allergies or preferences - we can accommodate most dietary needs.

Located in Dune de Sud, our cozy cabins are the ideal starting point for your daily escapades to the east or west of the islands. Overlooking 22 km of fine sand beach, take endless strolls in the salt air, pose for sunset photos and enjoy front-row seats to wildlife sightings. Pick up an authentic sweet or savoury crêpe Bretonne at Le Gaboteux on the beach to fuel you for your morning stroll.

Each prettily painted cabin has 3 bedrooms - 2 private rooms with queen beds on the main floor and 1 room with 2 single beds in the loft, sleeping 4 people per cabin. Each cabin has a kitchen for tea/coffee and treats, a living space for relaxing and a shared bathroom. Best of all, a front porch to sit back and watch as the sun sets and the waves roll in.

This is a fun trip for all SUP skill levels but we do expect that you are;

  • Able to paddle at a leisurely pace for up to 2-3 hours with rest breaks.
  • Comfortable in the water.
  • Comfortable hiking in moderately hilly terrain for 2-3 hours with rest breaks.
  • Comfortable embracing the foods and ways of other cultures.
  • All activities are optional and allow for "challenge by choice". With 2 guides, we are able to split the group based on interest, skill or other factors.
  • If you're an intermediate-advanced paddler, there will be the chance to downwind SUP (weather pending) or join longer paddles.

Meet Cindy Poirier!

This passionate, determined, and authentic businesswoman wanted to share her love for nature, sports, and discovery by creating her own business featuring  paddle board, kayak and surf activities. She has now added a café and boutique to her oceanside centre where we will kick back on the outdoor terrace to enjoy the sumptuous views of the sea. We knew Cindy was the perfect local partner to collaborate with us in this very special locale. Her in-depth knowledge of the Îles-de-la-Madeleine coastline and her popularity with the inhabitants of the islands make her a proud ambassador!

Today, she sows happiness through her adventures, to in turn inspire others, too, to live their dreams.
