Join Jesse & Susan of Follow Me North on an unparalleled wildlife photography adventure. This trip is the ultimate wildlife and landscape photographer's dream! Deep in the Bella Coola Valley, in beautiful British Columbia, you'll have the opportunity to experience the stunning scenery and abundant wildlife that the Great Bear Rainforest has to offer.

You may be surrounded by wilderness, but you'll be sleeping in luxury at the Firvale Wilderness Lodge. You'll have the opportunity to stay in either one of their glamping domes, or A-Frame cabins - both stylishly designed, with a private washroom for your comfort.

Whether you’re a photographer looking to expand your knowledge of wildlife and landscape photography, or a wildlife enthusiast wanting to improve your photography skills, Jesse & Susan want to share this amazing experience with you!

Sail to Coastal Fjords, Glaciers and Waterfalls

We'll be on the lookout for orcacs, humpback whales, pacific white-sided dolphins, coastal wolves, steller sealions, seals, bald eagles and bears during our cruise. Stopping at a top-secret natural hot springs along the way.

Float Down the Bella Coola River

Float down the Bella Coola River in search of grizzly bears feasting on spawning salmon. You'll experience the rugged wilderness in the Great Bear Rainforest, where stunning vistas and wildlife opportunities are abundant.

Learn about Indigenous Culture

Learn from First Nations Nuxalk guides. We'll tour petroglyphs and totems. The Nuxalk people date back 10,000 years - you'll be taught by the true residents of this protected land!

Enjoy delicious Meals

All meals and snacks are included in your stay. Our personal chef, Bobby, is able to work with any and many dietary restrictions using local farm-to-table ingredients.

DAY 1: Arrival Day

Upon arrival to Bella Coola, you'll have the afternoon to explore the Firvale Wilderness Camp or go on a light hike, before settling down for a delicious dinner with your group. Let’s mingle and chat about all things photography and wildlife!

DAY 2: River Float

After breakfast, you'll unpack your camera and head down the river in search of grizzly bears feasting on spawning salmon.

In the evening, you'll head back to the lodge for dinner and talk about photo editing techniques.

DAY 3: Ocean Tour

Location : Bella Coola, BC, Canada

You'll do an ocean tour, exploring the Great Bear Rainforest by boat. Cruise through coastal fjords, past glaciers, and waterfalls. We’ll be on the lookout for orcas, humpback whales, pacific white-sided dolphins, coastal wolves, stellar sea lions, seals, bald eagles, and bears during our cruise. You'll have a chance to stop at a top-secret, natural hot spring for a relaxing break. Don’t forget your bathing suit!

DAY 4: Grizzly Tour

Location : Firvale, BC, Canada

After breakfast, our adventures will continue.

In the morning, you'll do another river float down in search of grizzly bears.

This afternoon is free to explore, photograph, or relax.

INCLUDED:

- You’ll have 4 nights in either a Glamping Dome or an A-Frame Cabin at Firvale Wilderness Camp. Please note, the accommodation units at Firvale Wilderness Camp differ slightly and preference will go on a first-come, first-serve basis.

- We’ll be providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as grab-and-go snacks for our adventures. We are able to work with many dietary restrictions. Please notify us ahead of time if you have specific dietary needs (i.e. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc.)

- Not only will we pick you up from the airport in Bella Coola, but we will also handle all travel to-and-from shooting locations.

- Daily tours are booked for you! All you have to do is show up with your camera in hand and your sense of adventure.

- The core of this experience is helping you gain confidence in the field and to provide individual photography coaching when needed. If you’re a novice or a seasoned pro, you’re welcome to join us!

NOT INCLUDED:

- Flights: Transportation to Bella Coola (Travel costs to and from Bella Coola are not included in the workshop price.)
