Costa Rica - Wildlife Expedition (YEAR)

Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet: from butterflies to birds, sloths and monkeys, and even the elusive tapirs, this 14-day expedition in Costa Rica will give you invaluable hands-on experience of wildlife conservation and culture, including the chance to explore waterfalls and lagoons, and even go surfing.

Explore the stunning Osa Peninsula - home to 50% of Costa Rica’s biodiversity! During your immersive jungle experience, looking at conservation, sustainability and biodiversity, you’ll have the chance to venture where rainforest meets the sea and discover all things tropical. Plus, you’ll further your knowledge on the Sustainable Development Goals that align with this project, as well as gain a deeper understanding of your own social and environmental impact.

Sea Turtle Conservation

Understand anthropogenic impacts on marine life and learn about turtle anatomy, tracks, nesting sites and hatchery techniques. Understand the importance of keystone species when making ecological decisions.

Ecological Restoration

Understand the positive impacts tree maintenance has on biodiversity and soil nutrition. You will also learn a variety of restoration techniques for native tree and mangrove species throughout the area.

Avian and Amphibian Project

Learn how to interpret forest health, type, age and structure by understanding bird and amphibian species composition, diversity and distribution between forest types.

Monteverde Cloud Forest & Adventure

After immersing yourself in one of the most species-rich cloud forests in the world you will have the opportunity to go sky trekking, zip lining and surfing. The perfect way to end the project.
