📖 Guatemala Mission Trip FAQ

1. Who can join this trip?

Adults and mature teens (with a guardian) who are ready to serve, worship, and embrace cross-cultural ministry.

2. Do I need Spanish?

No! Translators will be with the team. A few phrases are helpful, but not required.

3. What type of ministry will we do?

4. Is it safe?

Yes — we travel as a team with trusted partners in Guatemala City. Translators, security, and leaders are with you at all times. Antigua will allow you to do more solo or group travel.  There will be no translators in Antiuga.

Simple, safe, and comfortable hotels in Guatemala City & Antigua with shared rooms.

6. Are meals included?

Yes — 3 meals daily while in Guatemala City, plus a farewell dinner in Antigua. You’ll be responsible for meals in Antigua on sightseeing days.

7. What should I budget for?

Plan for souvenirs, extra meals/snacks in Antigua, optional excursions, and personal spending money.

8. Do I need a visa or vaccines?

• U.S. citizens do not need a visa for Guatemala (just a valid passport).

• Vaccines are not required, but check CDC guidelines. Travel/medical insurance is required.
