• Arrival… WELCOME!

• TIME PERMITTING: We begin our tour of the Holy Land with a visit of the Old City of Jaffa, Biblical known as Joppa (Acts, 9:36-10:23). Jaffa’s ancient seaport is associated with the prophet Jonah (Jonah, 1:17) and is also the place where Peter stayed with Simon the Tanner and restored Tabita (Acts, 9:36-43). Later used by King Solomon as his main port on the Mediterranean, importing cedar wood from the Phoenicians in Lebanon for the construction of the Temple in Jerusalem.

Caesarea Maritima

• An astonishing Herodian City and Port on the Mediterranean Sea, the capital of the Roman Province of Judea. Here the Roman centurion Cornellius falls to Peter's feet and becomes the first gentile to receive the faith (Acts 10). Paul was arrested here, and this is where the Great Jewish War erupted.

Mount Carmel

• The place where the Prophet  Elijah Prevailed over the false prophets of Baal and Asherah (1 Kings 18), with breathtaking views of the Jezreel Valley and the Galilee Mountains.

Tel Megiddo

• One of the more impressive archaeological sites anywhere, this is the location of one of the most important cities in the land, above the Valley of Armageddon, the prophesied location of the gathering of armies for a battle during the end times (Revelation 16:16).  The immense city from the times of the Kings of Israel is beautifully preserved here with its walls, gates and famous stables

Mount Beatitudes

• The place where the Sermon on the Mount was delivered (Matthew 5:1-12), with breathtaking views of the surrounding areas.

Capernaum

• The hometown of the Apostles Peter, Andrew, John and James - here is the center of the Ministry of Jesus in the Galilee and one of the most powerful places in the land. Here the paralytic was lowered through the roof and healed (Mark 2:1-12), healed the man possessed by an unclean spirit in the synagogue, healed the Roman centurion and more. Miracles literally surround you here!

Tel Dan

• A beautiful Nature Reserve with the Springs of Dan - a major source of the Jordan River.  Here is the location of the Biblical city of Dan, with its immense walls, impressive Gate and the cultic site and altar from the time of Jeroboam and the Kingdom of Israel (2 Kings 10:29)

Caesarea Philippi (Banias River)

The Golan Heights

• Drive up to the Golan Heights (biblical Bashan), see Tel Dan and the Ancient Biblical City and  Abraham's Gate.  Have a look-over Syria and the bunkers above battlefields of the 1973 War.  Finally, arrive at the lovely Sea of Galilee, Israel's only fresh water lake and main source of water, and enjoy the sunset.

• National Park of Beit-She'an  

A breathtaking sight of the Decapolis City from Hellenistic times, this is one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the world. From the time of  Egyptian dominance in the Bronze Age, through the time of King Saul to the Greek-Roman city of Scythopolis, till its destruction in the earthquake of 749 AD.

Masada 

• A World Heritage Site from the time of King Herod, an unbelievable Royal fortress with palaces, baths, water system and gardens in the desert. This is the last dramatic standing fight of the free Jewish warriors that opposed the pagan Roman rule. Optional: Hike up the winding Snake Path instead of cable-car ride up.

Ein Gedi 

• A jewel in the desert: freshwater springs and waterfalls in a lush green Nature Reserve, where David encountered King Saul in the famous biblical scene (1 Samuel 24 1-2).

Temple Mount & St. Anne

• Early morning departure to visit Mt Moriah, the site of the First and Second Temples.
• Visit St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda, the Sister of Zion Convent to see the Pavement where Jesus stood as he was being tried by Pilate. 

Old City Sites in the Jewish Quarter

• We enter through the old city walls and continue to the Jewish Quarter to tour the Southern Steps Excavations of the Temple Mount, walking on the stairs where Jesus taught, and seeing the remains of the markets, roads and residences from the time of Jesus. Stop at the Western (“Wailing”) Wall, a remnant of the foundation of the Temple built by Herod in the first century BC, the holiest site of Judaism. See the modern rebuilt Jewish Quarter, excavated since 1967, and built directly over the ancient homes of the Jews who served in the Temple 2,000 years ago. 

• The Zion Gate and the traditional Tomb of David and visit to the Room of the Last Supper

The City of David - the very beginning of Jerusalem, from the Canaanite period through the time of David to the Babylonian destruction that ended the First Temple Period.  King Hezekiah's Tunnel offers a literal walk through the biblical scene in the times of the Assyrian siege and the remarkable water system that saved the city 2,700 years ago.

• Mount of Olives - the most amazing view possible of the Temple Mount and the Old City. 

• Gethsemane - one of the more powerful places that exist, the ancient Olives trees at this garden are as if twisted with agony and pain capturing the scene here.
