Stay in an art deco Mexican home

When in another country, it's best to live like the locals! We're staying in a 10-bedroom home in the historical center of CDMX, and it's gorgeous! This art-deco inspired Mexico home comes equipped with a full kitchen, lower-level terrace, and rooftop patio with spectacular views of the city!

Explore the city center

Walk around the historical center of CDMX with a local guide, and see all of the beautiful architecture, such as Palacio de las bellas artes, Zócalo square, and more! If you've never been to Europe but love old architecture, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the European vibes of Mexico City!

Take a day trip to Grutas Tolantongo

We're heading to one of the most Instagrammable spots in Mexico and spending the day at Las Grutas de Tolantongo, a turquoise water playground full of hot spring and underwater thermal pools.

Ride in a hot air balloon over ancient pyramids

Few things are more spectacular than riding in a hot air balloon over the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacan. This is a trip highlight--and one you'll never forget!

Explore the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacan

Teotihuacan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was settled as early as 400 B.C. By the time the Aztecs found the city in the 1400s and named it Teotihuacan (meaning “the place where the gods were created”), the city had been abandoned for centuries. Teotihuacan’s origins, history, and culture largely remain a mystery. After our hot air balloon ride, we'll have breakfast and explore the pyramid of the sun and moon with a local guide and learn about its mysterious history.

Dine at Pujol

Pujol has consistently been rated one of the top restaurants in the world, and we'll be having a custom 7-course tasting meal in their private dining room. This restaurant requires reservations months in advance and costs $200 per person--it's a once in a lifetime dining experience, just for our group!

Check out Coyoacán and Xochimilco

Enjoy the bohemian neighborhood of Coyoacán, known for its cobblestone streets and colonial architecture. The bright-blue Museo de Frida Kahlo is here, as are many colorful artisan markets. Next, we'll head to Xochimilco, AKA the Venice of Mexico, and float down the canals on traditional trajinera boats. We'll have drinks, tequila, lunch cooked right on the boat, and get serenaded by a local mariachi band.

Celebrate Día de los Muertos

We're in CDMX on día de los muertos (day of the dead), so we'll be taking full advantage! A local guide will be taking us to San Andrés Mixquic, where we'll celebrate día de los muertos in style. This neighborhood inspired the movie Coco! We'll wander the alleyways and cemetery, eat street food, and get your face painted like a traditional catrina, an iconic symbol of the holiday! This was my FAVORITE part of our trip last year!

Enjoy a taco tour

One could live a lifetime and never know all there is to eat in CDMX, but we're going to try!  The street food scene is so vibrant here, and TACOS are the star of the show. We'll try different types of tacos, mezcal, and tequila with a local guide before we head out to a lucha libre show.

Attend a lucha libre - Mexican wrestling match

After filling up on tacos and tequila, we're going to go out with a bang on our last night in CDMX by attending a lucha libre Mexican wrestling show! You’ll be amused by the drama and impressed by the acrobatic skills of the luchadores--they’re dramatic, hilarious, and a little bit wild.
