Luxury Off-Grid Accommodation

Klahoose Wilderness Resort is an off-grid luxury eco-lodge located in the heart of Desolation Sound in the Sunshine Coast region of BC. Experience the warm hospitality of our hosts including renowned chefs, cultural interpreters, and guides from the Klahoose First Nation. Rest easy in an ocean-view cedar cabin, with private and shared rooms available. Guests have access to a private dock with sea kayaks and SUPs, nature trails, BBQ and campfire area, and the Great Room with couches and wood-burning fireplace. Enjoy a day on the water to explore the surrounding inlets, hearing stories of the land while searching for sightings of orca, grizzly bears, and other marine wildlife.

We access the lodge via a 45 minute boat ride from Lund. Guests meet us in Lund by driving or flying in direct from YVR to Powell River. See more details in "How to get there".

Retreat Leaders

DR. JENNA CREASER

Jenna is a Holistic Family Physician, Yoga Teacher and the founder of Rising Rose Wellness, based on Cortes Island, BC. She has training in Yoga therapy, Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy, CBT, Compassionate Inquiry, and Intuitive Coaching, among many other mediation and inner-healing programs. She is a passionate advocate for promoting the health of ourselves and the planet, and enjoys connecting with others in wild spaces and places.

 

LJ JACKETT

LJ is a certified yoga teacher with over 400 hours of training including vinyasa, yin, yoga nidra and yoga therapy. Her passion is combining nature, meditation, and yoga to make for an all-around grounding and healing therapy. She splits her time between the West Coast of BC and Kenora Ontario, and traveling in warm climates around the world.

 

PAM DUYNSTEE

As the Founder & Director of Mosaic Earth Travel, Pam is dedicated to harnessing the power of travel, collaboration, and connection to support the wellbeing of our planet and its people. She has a Masters of Science in Tourism and International Development and brings her passion for sustainable tourism to her work as a leader, guide, and travel designer. Pam is based in Squamish, BC where she finds joy in the wild beauty and wellness-minded community.

FAQs:

  1. Do I have to be fit and active for this retreat?: Come as you are! There is no minimum fitness level required to enjoy this retreat.
  2. Can you accommodate guests with mobility restrictions/limitations? Good mobility is recommended for transportation to/from Klahoose, which requires walking up and down the marina dock and ramps, in Lund Harbour, and also embarking and disembarking vessels. There are stairs at the main entrance to the resort and to all rooms and cabins. Please contact us directly to discuss your circumstances and see how we can make it work.
  3. Is the retreat open to men as well? Wild Spirit is specially designed for women and those who identify as female to come together in a supportive and inclusive environment. Stay tuned for future retreats for all genders. 
  4. Can I come as a solo traveller? Yes, absolutely! Our pricing is based on single occupancy, so whether you come solo or with a friend or two, you'll have your own bed and be sharing common space with other retreat participants.

How To Get There

Klahoose Wilderness Resort is only accessible by boat or sea plane. Boat transfer from Lund (northern Sunshine Coast) to Klahoose is included in the Wild Spirit package. This is a 45 minute ride on a covered boat.

Guests should plan to meet the Retreat Leaders in Lund or Powell River shortly after mid-day on October 13th. There are several ways to get here:

  • Drive from Vancouver or Vancouver Island to the Sunshine Coast via BC Ferries. Paid parking is available in Lund.
  • Fly from Vancouver to Powell River with Pacific Coastal Airlines. This is a 35 minute flight. Land transfer from Powell River to Lund (~45 minutes) is included in your trip.
  • Seaplane from downtown Vancouver or YVR South to Powell River via Harbour Air Seaplanes. Land transfer to Lund (included).

Travel expenses to/from your home base and Lund or Powell River are not included in your trip costs and must be booked separately by you.
