The health and safety of Open Doors Travel travellers, community partners, colleagues, and guides is paramount to us. And we continuously evaluate our travel operations to keep our travel community safe. We remain in contact with our travel partners, travel associations, and government agencies to compile advice to make operational decisions based on public health recommendations.
Social Distancing
There may be times on tour or the motorcoach when social distancing is required. We will take care to ensure local guidelines are followed in a safe & comfortable manner. For any cases where masks are necessary due to local policies, we ask that guests bring their masks for comfort and safety. We will have a few on hand for emergencies.
Guest & Team-Member Health
We have done our best to ensure a healthy environment with our local guides/hosts and drivers requiring that they are fully vaccinated. We also require that all travellers are fully vaccinated before joining the tour. Additionally, we conduct regular guest checks; when local guidelines require masks, travellers will wear masks. In other cases, masks are optional for our fully vaccinated guests.
Contact us at once if you are experiencing any symptoms related to Covid-19, including fever, dry cough, fatigue, aches and pains, sore throat, diarrhea, headaches, loss of smell, shortness of breath and chest pain.
Touch-Points along the Way
Touch-points of travel include luggage handling, check-in/check-out interaction, expedited entry into attractions and more. We are further reducing risk with hands-free services, including some self-services now performed by staff, including the elimination of self-service buffet meals in some cases. We will ensure hand sanitizing is available throughout each trip, on transportation modes and in hotels.
Commitment to Clean
We require enhanced cleaning procedures with our hotel partners and on motorcoaches throughout the trip, including daily disinfecting practices. And our motorcoaches are equipped with air filters that clean the air and provide constant ventilation.
