You’ll visit two local homes: one of a skilled ceramic artisan and another of a traditional weaver using a foot pedal loom, where you’ll also enjoy a home-cooked lunch.

As you leave the beauty of Lake Atitlán behind, your journey begins with a visit to Iximche, the former capital of the Cakchiquel Kingdom. Built in 1470 and conquered in 1524, this powerful site was never lost to time and remains a sacred place for the Cakchiquel people today.

After a lunch stop, transfer to Guatemala City Airport for a short, one-hour flight to Flores. Arrive by the tranquil shores of Lake Petén Itzá, where warmer tropical weather welcomes you. Overnight lakeside.
