You will visit the modern and colonial parts of Lima, known as The City of Kings, starting at the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, passing by a pre-Inca sacred place, before heading to the Historic Center. There, you will explore some of the most historically important streets of the city, leading to the Plaza de Armas, where you will have some time to take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it. Then you will visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo, an astonishing building in colonial style. After exploring the Historical Center, you will head towards modern Miraflores to make a stop at the Parque del Amor, from where you can take beautiful photographs of the Lima Bay area.

10:00 FULL DAY - VISIT TO THE TOWNS AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTERS OF PISAC
You will head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, towards the town of Pisac. Before arriving, you will make a stop at the Taray viewpoint, where you will have an unbeatable view of the area. Once in Pisac, you will visit the ruins overlooking the Vilcanota River, which will amaze you for its fascinating architecture. Then, you will visit the colorful market of Pisac, where you will find various products of the area. You will then head to a restaurant in Urubamba, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

You will head in the direction of the Maras salt mines, an amazing place where the finest salt in the world is extracted: Maras salt. On the way, you will make a stop at the Raqchi viewpoint, from where you will have an impressive view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Then, you will visit the Misminay community. Upon arrival, the villagers will give you a warm welcome with music and typical dances. There, you will be able to learn about the Andean families' lifestyle, by sharing some of their daily activities with them. Then, you will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared with local products. You will continue with a visit to Moray, a fascinating archeological site with huge concentric terraces, which the Incas used as a botanical laboratory.

FULL DAY MACHU PICCHU WITH VISTADOME TRAIN
You will visit one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. Your excursion starts aboard a train towards the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train ride the best way to start your visit. Once you arrive, you will begin the ascent to the ruins. This visit will, without a doubt, be one of your most memorable experiences. After you reach the top, you will take a tour of Machu Picchu, learning the history and mysteries of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. And, with amazing scenery all around, you will surely have more than one spectacular photo-op. Lunch is included at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge. Then, it’s back to Aguas Calientes.

Train to Machu Picchu
ONBOARD LUGGAGE POLICY
Allowable passenger carryon bags:
Any luggage not meeting the measurements cannot be taken aboard. Luggage is left in the Sacred Valley and taken to the hotel in Cuzco while group is at Machu Picchu – only a small backpack with overnight essentials should be taken on the train.

Day at leisure to explore the town of Aguas Caliente.

Check out and store luggage – the local guide will advise you on the time to meet and head to train station.

15:48 At a proper time, you will board the train for the return journey. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to

17:29 Arrival to Ollantaytambo and transfer to your hotel.

You will visit the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here you will start your tour at the iconic San Pedro market, a local market where you can explore the colors, flavors and traditions of modern Cusco. The visit continues with the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, above which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. You will continue ascending to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Afterwards, you will explore Q’enqo archeological site, where important Inca ceremonies took place. Finally, you will arrive to the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city.
