We will visit Wat Phra Kaew and the nearby attractions first, before moving on to the Grand Palace. Wat Phra Kaew, also know as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is located right next to the Grand Palace, and they probably form together the greatest spectacle for visitors in Bangkok. A visit to the Royal Grand Palace, the nation’s landmark and most praised royal monument in Thailand, is a must.

The palace, which is the former royal residence of the Chakri Kings, is the perfect example of an ancient Siamese court. Built in 1782 by the King Rama I, it was the center of power for more than150 years. Today, the palace is Bangkok's major landmark and most popular tourist attraction. Indeed, the Grand Palace is an amazing place to visit, as it consists of over 100 brightly colored buildings, golden spires and glittering mosaics, that all date back to the foundation of Bangkok in 1782.
After that, continue to visit “Wat Pho” with its Reclining Buddha image. Wat Pho is regarded as the first center of public education and is sometimes called ‘Thailand’s first university’. Mural paintings, inscriptions, and statues found in the temple educated people on various subjects such as literature, warfare, archaeology, astronomy, geology, meditation and is considered to be home of Thai traditional massages.

Dress Code: Please note that the chapel is a national shrine and that you will be required to wear proper attire (no bare shoulders, knees or strapless-heel shoes). Shoes must be removed before entering the temple buildings as a matter of respect.

This evening treat yourself to a memorable night out aboard one of Bangkok’s boat restaurants. Relax in modern comfort and experience the warmth of Thai hospitality. Wan Fah is a high-class luxury Thai-style boat restaurant which offers Thai classical music during a delightful trip along with the Chao Phraya River. Dine while cruising along the Chao Phraya River, as the illuminated skyline of Bangkok’s most fascinating sights (such as the Grand Palace and Wat Arun) are passing by. A truly exotic and unforgettable experience.

A glimpse of everyday life in Thailand can be seen at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market which is located some 110 kilometers from Bangkok. Your journey commences with a leisurely drive passing through salt fields and rice paddies before arriving at a jetty. Here we will board long tail speed-boats to take you to the market. The market is made up of Thai style canoes laden with colorful, succulent fruits, vegetables, sweets and meats. They gently ply their way through the canal selling as they go.

Today, you will be transferred to Bangkok airport for your flight to Chiang Mai.
Upon arrival Chiang Mai, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

LOCAL FAMILY KHANTOKE DINNER
This evening you will be met at your hotel and transferred to Ruankaew Yanon Family’s home. You will be welcomed by the family, who will guide you around their house. Then, have a traditional Thai Kantoke dinner.

Afterward, return transfer back to your hotel.

HALF-DAY CHIANGMAI CITY TOUR
The city of Chiang Mai has a wealth of beautiful and historic Buddhist Wats (temples), and on this tour, a visit to the most fascinating Wats is made.
Near the summit of Doi Suthep, is the 600-year-old temple of WAT PHRATHAT DOI SUTHEP. After a drive up the mountain’s winding road, the final climb to the site is via an enormous mythological Nagas (Dragon- headed serpent) staircase of 306 steps (elevators are available). Inside the cloister is an intriguing copper-plated chedi topped by a five-tier gold parasol, which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha. On a clear day, there are incomparable views over the city of Chiang Mai from the temple grounds.
Other temples visited on this tour include WAT SUAN DOK, whose large central stupa contains Buddha relic which supposedly self-multiplied! , and WAT CHEDI LUANG consists of an impressive chedi, originally built in 1411. It reached a height of over 85 meters before it was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. It now reach a height of only 60 meters The temple also contains the city pillar.

FULL-DAY CHIANG RAI & GOLDEN TRIANGLE
An early morning 3-hour drive through beautiful scenery to Chiang Rai, with a brief stop at the Hot Springs at Maekajan for fresh air. Next stop will be made at Wat Rongkhun (White Chapel), a unique temple, designed by Thailand most prominent artist, Mr. Chalermchai Kositpipat. Followed by visit to the Black House, Covering over 100 rai, it comprises more than 25 buildings of pure and applied northern architectural styles. Belonging to the Thai National Visual Artist Thawan Duchanee, Baandam Museum exhibits folk art of local artists from the past to the present together with a large collection of rare folk appliances from the old days. Also visit to the Blue Temple, Wat Rong Suaten, famous for its blue colour chapel and surrounding statues. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. Continue to the Golden Triangle area, with a stop enroute at Padong Long-necked Hilltribe, There are magnificent views over the Mae Khong River to the physical triangle made by Burma, Laos and Thailand at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong River. For a small fee, you can also enjoy the boat ride to view the splendor of mighty Mae Khong River. Afterward, return journey back to Chiang Mai.
