DAY 4: Drive to Fes
We have some driving to do today (about 5.5 hours total), but plenty of stops and breathtaking views to break it up.
We’ll stop to stretch our legs in Meknes, where there is a calmer medina where shopkeepers are not as pushy to make a sale. While Meknes is quite large, the two main areas of interest are the Ville Impériale (Imperial City) and the manageable medina.
We’ll be sure to check out the grand Bab al-Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Next, we’ll visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis (think astonishingly well preserved mosiac floors!), a UNESCO protected site, founded in the 3rd century BCE, it remains incredibly well-preserved. We’ll have stunning views of the Rif Mountains, and learn some more of Morocco’s rich history.

Day 4: Arrive Fes
Highlights: Roman ruins at Volubilis and imperial cities of Meknes and Fes

Our visit starts with the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco in the 16th century.
After a stroll through town visiting historical and ancient sites, including the famous Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the region, the tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, we will go to the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view of the whole medina of Fes.

Fez - Hammam (Bathhouse)
I was so torn whether to take you all to a very local place to get the full experience of these public bath houses or to take you to a more touristy one where it's less authentic but more comfortable.
The authentic hamams where only locals go and be a lot of nudity with a lot of strangers for some people not from that culture. The touristy places are fake and while they are fun, they are not a genuine cultural experience, something we at SoFe take pride in offering.
I think we found the perfect one.
We are going to go to a hamam that is a very nice local one where both locals and tourists go. Bring some bikini bottoms and be ready to go topless. In Moroccan culture, nudity between the same sex is common place and no big deal. If you would prefer to wear a top as well, you can. But I don't recommend it. You will be scrubbed by a lady working there, lathered up with lots of soap, and then you will soak in some flowered water.
Traditionally this is a place for women to chat, gossip, and hang out without the intrusion of men. If you have any questions, please ask. I really love the hamam experience, and I hope you will too!
The Nausikaa Hammam Package is included in your tour price and offers: Scrubing, soap massage, flowered water ( bathrobe, towel, glove, shampoo and shower gel)
You can choose for upgrades in Morocco if desired.
Day 6: Drive to Chefchaouen
Say goodbye to Fes this morning, we are going to the blue city Chefchaouen (approx. 3.5 hours).
During the drive today, we will have stunning views of the Rif Mountains or the chance for a nap.
Day 6: FREE TIME in The Blue City of Chefchaouen
Once we arrive in beautiful Chefchaouen, you have the rest of the day to wander this unique, colorful town.
Discover Plaza Outa el-Hammam, the main square named for the number of hammams which used to encircle it. Find a restaurant or café for a bite to eat, before browsing the many shops offering traditional wares. Visit the Grand Mosque and kasbah (old fortress or fortification) and tour the kasbah's garden, museum, and even some of its old prison cells.
As the evening approaches, ascend the path leading to the never used, white Spanish Mosque (20 to 30 minutes) to enjoy one last view over Chefchaouen as the sun sets behind the mountains.
Meals: Breakfast
Accomodation: Hotel Dar
Day 7: Chefchaouen - Free Time
If you're doing the hike, you'll be back for lunch, otherwise you have the whole day free.
The rest is up to you! The rest of the day is free.
Meals: Breakfast
Accomodation: Hotel Dar

Day 7: Optional Hike to Waterfall
We’ll wake up a bit early today to beat the heat for our hike at Cascades d’Akchour.
About an hour away from Chefchaouen, these beautiful waterfalls and paths are well worth the walk (about 2-3 hours total).
Meals: Breakfast
Day 8: Drive to Casablanca
After a late breakfast and some more last gazes at Chefchaouen, we will make our way to
Casablanca. We’ll crank up the Moroccan tunes on this beautiful drive and stop for views.
Meals: Breakfast
Day 8: Free Afternoon in Casablanca + Special Dinner
Once we get there, we will have some time to explore Casablanca and enjoy our farewell
dinner.
Special Farewell Dinner - bring a "nicer" dress or top to dress up your jeans.
Day 9: Mosque & Farewell
This morning we will have an early breakfast so we can visit the Casablanca Mosque before
your flights.
Make sure your flight doesn’t take off until after 3pm so you won’t miss it!
We will take you to the airport any time today.
