Beka is a customer care specialist and certified Transformational Travel Mentor. She will gladly walk you through the booking process and personally oversee your stay with us. She has been with the lodge for over a decade and will greet you at the dock when you arrive.
Guests can opt to schedule a single or daily mentoring session with Beka for setting intention for this journey, journal relfection and/or mindfulness practice to go deeper with your inner journey during your visit to Stillpoint Lodge. Nature may be the catalyst, but it is in the intimate company of our fellow human beings that we may find the most profound connections and meaningful experiences.

Make your way by land or air to Homer, Alaska on your own. Private vehicle transfer from Homer Airport to Homer Harbor is provided, if needed, and we can store your luggage if you wish to explore the Homer Spit. Regional Airline Flights Options

We arrange your scenic, round trip boat transportation from Homer Harbor to Stillpoint Lodge in Halibut Cove, Alaska aboard one of our safe and stable lodge vessels. Words can't possibly do justice to the scene you have the chance to take in today as we cross Kachemak Bay. If weather and time allow, we will make a stop at the Gull Island Bird Sanctuary. The voyage usually takes about 25-minutes and often includes stops for wildlife viewing along the way.
Kachemak Bay is home to the Kachemak Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, and is a very active site of research and education. The bay hosts a remarkably high level of biological activity.
You've traveled a long way to reach Halibut Cove, Alaska. You literally went to the end of the road, then you got on a boat. Be our guest and experience Alaska at its finest. You will have the opportunity to experience an environment, culture and land that is very different than your own. All that is required is for you to be open to it. Over the next three days, your naturalist guides will lead you through various activities and new places, offering educational opportunities and plenty of silence in which to be present, look and listen. This is a rare opportunity and something that can manifest in experiences you will never forget.
Challenge yourself with optional digital detox: no WiFi, phone or TV in your cabin for a day, for a night, or for the entire retreat.
Set off with a naturalist guide on our local Native Trail.
Meet your guide at the lodge Gear Cave for a pre-trip briefing and gather any needed hiking equipment and fill your water bottle. This 2.5 mile trail begins right at the lodge, climbs 300 feet up a ridgeline above Halibut Cove and offers panoramic views of the island, bay and coastline. Tour along the ridge trail through spruce and alder forest, tasting berries in season and watching for a variety of our local birds. You and your guide will be bear aware as the trail twists and turns along geological formations and descends to a tranquil beach. If you like, spend some time in silence at the shore, tending to your heart and quieting your mind. Begin to immerse yourself, both outward and inward, in the natural landscape and all it has to say.
Opt for a convenient boat pickup or turn around and hike the trail back to the lodge with your guide.
This grassy and rocky trail is rated is moderate to difficult and takes about 1 hour each way.

Prepare for your day's adventures with a gentle morning stretch. Focus on your breath to improve flexibility and avoid injury.
Where: We will practice outside or inside depending on the weather. All props are provided.
Breakfast buffet served in the main lodge... then take some time to explore the grounds and enjoy your included, self-guided Recreation & Restoration activities.
After lunch at the lodge, enjoy a guided paddle around our island community by single or double sea kayak. Learn about the natural ecology of the area and the interesting history of this thriving little community. Enjoy paddling in the beautiful, clear ocean water and witness wildlife galore such as sea otters, seals, eagles and puffins in their natural habitat. The waters are almost always calm in the cove. Paddle over to the Halibut Cove Coffeehouse for a hot drink and then explore far and wide with our guide.

This trip combines three adventures into one:
Boating, hiking and kayaking!
Join us on an adventure through one of Alaska’s most spectacular, iconic and scenic destinations. Boat to the trailhead, then hike to Grewingk Glacier Lake. From there you’ll take a guided kayak tour toward the crystal blue ice. Paddle amidst icebergs and shorebirds as you approach the face of this ancient glacier. Enjoy your picnic lunch on the shore overlooking the 13-mile ice field, surrounded by towering mountains. At this point your conception of time and space will be altered by the sheer magnitude and splendor of the world around you.
As time passes and our world feels the effects of climate change all around us, the presence of truly massive glaciers is being threatened. Few places are left in the world where we can feel small and insignificant against the ancient power of flowing ice. Grewingk Glacier is one of those places, and your day is spent in the presence of the past.
After enjoying the adventure and views, return to the lodge and think about your time in the wild. Reflect on how you feel being in such close relationship with the natural world. Ask yourself how you are changed from this experience and what you can do to aid in preserving wild places.

Arise early and enjoy the sunrise. Take in your last morning in the cove and begin to prepare for your trip back to civilization. Please have your bags packed before your arrive at the lodge to enjoy your last breakfast buffet at the lodge.
Labyrinth Walk
We will begin with a meditation in our Poustinia Cabin, then mindfully walk the path of the labyrinth taking some time to slow down and enjoy the tranquility. A labyrinth incorporates the imagery of the spiral into a purposeful path. The ritual of walking a labyrinth can give it meaning. For many, our labyrinth is used as a walking meditation to cultivate mindfulness and a sense of connection. This is a chance to connect to something greater, as a culmination of your journey with us and a ritual to galvanize the sacredness of your time in the place. We will end with a journaling session for reflection.
