The experiential journey to the Araucanía region in southern Chile offers a deep immersion into the rich Mapuche culture, one of the country’s most important indigenous groups. The trip begins with a visit to a ruka, a traditional Mapuche dwelling, where guests are introduced to the community’s customs, history, and values.
The journey takes travelers through breathtaking natural landscapes, including native forests, lakes, and volcanoes, all considered sacred in the Mapuche worldview. At the heart of the experience, visitors participate in Mapuche ceremonies, games and there’s also the chance to sample indigenous cuisine.
