"I’m Tash! I’ve been a support worker for 5 years, and I love being active! Cheerleading is my favourite sport, and I also love singing, baking and being creative. I recently finished a Bachelor of Advanced Science at Macquarie University, and this year, I’m starting a new degree in Paramedicine at Charles Sturt University."

 

VIRGIL:

Virgil is originally from the Netherlands, and is a youth worker and studies mental and social health. He also has background as a teacher, personal trainer and in tourism, has been in Australia for many years, and loves travel.

This morning we will meet at Sydney Airport and check-in for our flight! 

Go to Terminal 2, domestic airport, take the escalators up to departures.

Meet at Azuka café at 6.10am, for your flight at 7.25am.

You can have a simple breakfast after check-in.

Once we arrive at Ballia Airport, We will collect our bags and hop on board our 12 seater van which we will have for the duration of the trip.

After arriving in Byron you'll go explore the area, the beach and quirky little shops. Listen to locals playing music, take some photos, go for a swim if you're brave, or watch the surfers and take in the calm and exciting feeling of Byron.

 

During lunch you can write your shopping list for breakfasts for 3 days + one dinner.

Find your way around and shop for your meals.

When we arrive at our accommodation our rooms will not yet be ready, So we will leave our stuff in the vehicle and go out exploring the area.

We’ll have dinner at one of Byron's popular venues, The Beach Hotel from 6:30pm.
Chasing some live tunes and good vibes.

This morning we will grab some breakfast in town or stop at a unique hidden cafe on our way to the farm!

 

When we have finished our breakfast we will go to the farm and learn the different farming practices.  You can also watch the tractor in action and the staff feeding the pig, Oink! After we see what's on offer, we will go to the cafe to have a small snack or ice-cream before heading to our next location.

The next stop on the list is in the beautiful hinterlands! We will stop along the way to take a photo of the view before visiting either Crystal Castle or a local brewery. (Your activity will depend on what you individually chose pre-trip). Both options will include time for lunch at the location.

Activity options are:

Option 1: Crystal Castle
A sanctuary where you can see some of the biggest and most beautiful crystals. 

Option 2: Local Brewery
If Crystals are not your thing that's ok! You can head to a local brewery nearby in Mullumbimby. 

After lunch, we will continue our road trip to Nimbin - Australia's most hippie destination! Here you can check out the local shops filled with all sorts of unique products.

Once we have finished exploring Nimbin, we will go back to the accommodation to get our bags packed and ready for the morning. You will also have a chance to freshen up before heading out for dinner and a night on the town!!

Tonight you'll be cooking dinner together in your apartments!

This morning we will get up early and have breakfast at home, before going on a walk that you will definitely not forget! The Byron Bay Lighthouse walk, otherwise known as the Cape Byron walking track, is a scenic track to one of the most iconic landmarks in the Byron Shire, the Cape Byron Lighthouse.

Along the way, you will get to see beautiful beaches, stunning views and even visit the most easterly point in Australia!

Time to say peace out to Byron Bay as we head out to the airport.

From Ballina Airport we will fly back to Sydney having made new friends and wonderful memories. 

Be at airport at 3pm to return hire vehicle and check in. 

Flights are scheduled to arrive at 5.45pm.
