This morning we will meet at Sydney Airport and check-in for our flight!
Meet at 7.10am at Azuka Café for your 9.10am flight.
NOTE: The airport has been full and had long lines lately. Please bring noise cancelling headphones if needed, or other calming equipment you prefer, such as fidgets, hat, sunnies etc.
Once we arrive at Cairns Airport, We will collect our bags and hop onboard coach which we will have for the duration of the trip.

Apartment 2: Room 1: Mitch and Nathaniel, Room 2: Tash
Go shop at a nearby grocery store, and do a bbq dinner with ocean views over the Esplanade!
Choose from one of the many bbq's available along the promenade.
This morning we will cook a simple breakfast at home before heading out for the day.
Today you're going to Fitzroy island for a half day trip! Do a short hike to a beautiful beach, have lunch with a view, and see a turtle conservation.

Check-In: Fitzroy Island Booking Centre
Please make your way directly to the Fitzroy Island Booking Centre located at Shop 2/1 Spence Street Cairns, located outside the main terminal building. Please arrive a minimum of 60 minutes prior to departure to complete check-in process. Once checked in, the staff will issue you your tickets for boarding and give directions to the vessel. Booking centre is opened from 7am until 3.30pm every day.

Don't worry, it's not a nude beach.
It's a beautiful little beach a 15min walk from the ferry! The walk is easy, but step carefully as there is a rocky part. You can swim at the beach or try the beach swing, but do not go snorkelling there without a suit.
It was voted Australia's #1 most beautiful beach in 2018!
Walk to the Fitroy Lighthouse (2.5 hour return), or Secret Garden walk (45min return).

The Daintree Rainforest is the oldest surviving rainforest in the world and is home to some rare and unique wildlife. It is also a UNESCO world heritage site due to its evolutionary significance and exceptional natural beauty as one of the only places in the world where the rainforest meets coral beaches.

Visit Port Douglas, a popular little holiday destination with beautiful scenery. Grab a coffee or just take a stroll and some shots, before continuing your journey!
After freshing up from your road trip, go home and freshen up! Its our last night in Cairns so let's go for a dinner out! Head to Dunwoodys hotel on the corner.
Option 2: Head to the Hemingways Brewery, a venue that offers various seating options both indoors with views to the brewery, and outdoors, with waterside views. (40min stroll along the promenade, or drive 10min).
on Day 4, get our bags packed in the morning. Afterwards, we will check out the accommodation, and spend the last day in Cairns visiting the Daintree Rainforest before heading to the airport in the evening
Go on a 30min drive to the little town of Kuranda, where the scenic railway leads to.
First drive up to Barron Falls Car park. From there you can go for a short but a little bit steep walk down to the Barron Falls Lookout.
- Lunch at café Mandala
- Look around the Kuranda Markets and see the Japanese candy store or Japanese tea house
- Optional: Visit the Butterfly sanctuary or Koala gardens (~$20pp, tickets are not included but can be bought at the door)
Return to airport by 3pm to return vehicle and check in.
From Cairns Airport we will fly back to Sydney having made new connections and memories!
