ABOUT THE TRIP
A coastal weekend built around the Eden Whale Festival. This trip includes whale watching, the community festival, local history, and time built into the schedule to rest between activities.

The trip runs from Friday to Monday. Eden is a small coastal town on the Sapphire Coast in southern NSW, and October is peak season for humpback whales migrating along the coast. 🐳

Each day follows a set schedule that is shared with participants in advance, so you know what to expect and when. Activities include a mix of indoor and outdoor options, and there is time between activities to rest or step away if needed. Group sizes are kept small (4–8 people), with support guides available throughout the weekend. ✨

DAY 1 — TRAVEL TO EDEN

🌅 Walk to Rotary Park Lookout, a grassy lookout point in town with ocean views. Whales can sometimes be seen from here.

DAY 2 — WHALE WATCHING & FESTIVAL DAY

Morning
🍳 Group breakfast, cooked together at the accommodation.
🐋 Whale watching boat charter, departing from the wharf. A land-based whale watching spot is available for anyone who prefers to stay on shore.

Afternoon
🥪 Lunch from food trucks at the festival.
🥁 Time at the Eden Whale Festival! Street parade, craft markets, and live music stages.

Evening
🍽️ Home-cooked group dinner.
🎲 Cozy Game Night & Chill- Settle in after dinner for a relaxed evening of trivia, board games, hot drinks, and plenty of laughs together.

DAY 3 — MUSEUM VISIT & MERIMBULA BEACH

Morning
🍳 Group breakfast and check out
🐳 Visit to the Eden Killer Whale Museum- an indoor museum covering the history of Eden's killer whales, including "Old Tom," and their historical role working with local whalers.

Afternoon
☕ Lunch and coffee in town
🏖️ Drive back to Merimbula. Spend a relaxing afternoon at Merimbula Main Beach or Mitchies Jetty. Swim, walk along the sand, dip their feet in the water, watch sunset, or relax on the beach with snacks!

Evening
🍽️ Final group dinner at a local Eden café or restaurant.

DAY 4 — EASY MORNING & TRAVEL HOME

Morning
🍳 Group breakfast, pack up and check out

Mid-Morning
☀️Gentle morning walk along the Merimbula Boardwalk or a quick souvenir shopping trip in town depending on flight schedules.

Afternoon
✈️ Head to Merimbula Airport for flight departures back home.
