Overview

A special trip starting with an incredible visit to New York City where you will be taking in sights including the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empire State Building, Ground Zero Memorial, Fifth Avenue, Central Park and Times Square. Followed by a truly memorable visit to Orlando, Florida where you will visit Disney World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

Day 1: Fly to main departure airport (if applicable) 8th June

The group will all fly to New York from the same Australian airport.

Once the departure airport has been confirmed, travellers who live in a different state will be provided with a connecting flight.

Day 2 Arrive into New York 8th June

Once we have arrived at JFK Airport, we will collect our luggage and meet our driver who will take us to our hotel.

Day 2: Check into accommodation 8th June

We will check into our accommodation before taking a stroll around our local area.

Day 3: Lay in and breakfast 9th June

After a long journey the day before, we will have a slower morning and will go for breakfast.

Day 3: Times Square 9th June

After checking our breakfast, we will explore Times Square!

Day 4: Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge 10th June

An unforgettable trip to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty.

Statue of Liberty

We will experience the beauty and splendour of New York City aboard the Statue of Liberty ferry. Once we arrive at the island, we will tour the grounds and take the perfect photo with Lady Liberty.

Ellis Island

Ellis Island is a symbol of American immigration. We will tour the Ellis Island Immigration Museum and take in the atmosphere.

Day 5: Empire State Building, Ground Zero Memorial and Soho 11th June

A visit to the Empire State Building where you will take an amazing view of Manhattan on both the 86th floor and the new 102nd floor observatory.

It’s a view you have to see to believe.102 floors above New York City, the Top Deck observatory takes your Empire State experience higher, with breath-taking views in every direction.

Sixteen stories above our 86th floor observation deck and accessed through a one-of-a-kind glass elevator, the 102nd floor offers true 360-degree views thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides. See the entire length of Manhattan and all of New York City’s iconic landmarks, from the Statue of Liberty to Central Park and far beyond.

When you’re this high up, the view doesn’t end at New York City. On the clearest days you can gaze up to 80 miles into the distance, far enough to see six states from a single vantage point. You haven’t seen New York until you have experienced this once-in-a-lifetime view.

After the Empire State Building, we will then visit the Twin Centre Memorial site for a museum tour.

Day 6: Central Park and Fifth Avenue 12th June

A spot of shopping on Fifth Avenue including Bloomingdales and a stroll through Central Park, with an optional horse ridden carriage.

Day 6: Broadway Show 12th June

During the evening, we will watch Harry Potter and Cursed Child Broadway Show!

The show starts at 7pm!

Day 7: Free Day in New York 13th June

It is our final day in New York and this is our free day!

Have a picnic in the park, visit the Plaza Hotel (for those Home Alone, Lost in New York fans), or simply have a rest day! The choice is yours!

Day 7: Fly to Orlando International Airport 14th June

We will travel back to the airport in time to fly to Orlando for the next stage of our trip!

Day 8: Check into our accommodation 14 June

Upon arrival at Orlando International Airport, we will arrange a taxi and head to our villa!

Day 8: Disney World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure (7 days) 14th - 20th June

For the next 7 days, you will get to experience Disney World's parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios), Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.

Day 12: Fly home 20th June

We will fly home to the main Australian airport.

For those who live in a different state, a domestic flight will be arranged.

Day 13: Arrive into Australia 22nd June

We will arrive into Australia following an epic trip to the US!

NDIS claimable amount: up to $12,600

Sydney ($5850 - $6200 self funded + $12,600 NDIS) = $18,450 - $18,800

Self-managed:
When it's open for bookings, simply go to the $ invoice tab, choose package, and pay your deposit.

You will get a reminder when you need to pay the rest of the cost. Claim back from NDIS afterwards.

Plan managed:
Ask your plan manager if you can spend your funding on this trip. Ask us if you need an invoice to give to your plan manager. Once the plan manager has confirmed the invoice is accepted, you can pay the deposit. The plan manager will either pay it upfront, or hold the funds until after the trip. If so, pay the instalments and claim back when we send you your receipt.

Insurance: You will be required to purchase travel insurance. Travengers’ travel insurance does not cover travellers. Make sure your insurance covers you for your needs and activities and any health conditions you may have.
