Meet at the airport!Ā
We will provide detailed meeting times and meeting points for each guest individually.
Here you will meet Tash,Ā your Support Guide (unless you are travelling from a different city), practice checking in and going through security and to the gate.Ā
We will stop at Whakarewarewa VillageĀ ā a cultural village where the Maori Aboriginal people are still living in an unspoiled landscape amidst geysers and boiling mud pools ā temperatures up to 95 degrees Celsius, mild In the air, the sulphur smell of mineral mud is very good for health. The Maori have settled here since 1325, and they have used the boiling water here to warm their homes.
We have a bit of free time later in the afternoonĀ before we head back to our accommodation for the evening, where we'll cook and hang out together.
After cooking breakfast together, we head back on the road to Matamata!
We'll eat in Matamata, and then head to Hobbiton in the afternoon.
After the success of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, Hobbiton has become a major attraction for New Zealand tourists. Strolling the streets of Hobbiton, you'll expect to see Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, Frodo, and his mischievous gang of friends.
We'll check into our accommodation here and then head out for dinner
We drive back to Auckland, stopping for breakfast on the way back.
We depart the airport for home (individual departing flights to be advised).
