What better way to spend the Queen’s long weekend - explore the city on the other side! This trip is a great opportunity to go far away and see something new. Connect with people as we go for dinner and live music, check out an arcade bar and do a bike ride around beautiful Rottnest Island - and can we get that famous selfie with a quokka?
Day 1 - Fly to Perth
Grab your bags and get to the airport - we're heading for Perth! A 5hr flight away.
Check-in at Hostel G
Hostel G is located in the Perth CBD, near everything we need. It's a new, clean and funky hostel with cool rooms such as gaming room, screen/movie room, kitchen facilities and more.
We'll have our own shared ladies room with a private bathroom.
Day 1 - Explore Perth CBD
When we arrive we take the bus to the CBD, and head to our accommodation for check-in, then spend the afternoon exploring the city!
Check out the Botanical Gardens, or the Japanese shop Too Underground, full of anime, comic books and more!
Day 1 - Live music and dinner
Perth has plenty of options for a good Friday night out, we head out to look for a bite and some live tunes.
Day 2 - Rottnest Island
Today we're heading for the ferry to Rotties! We'll get our bikes in Perth and take the boat across, where we'll explore the island at our own leisure. Please go to Document to see the Mini Itinerary.
Day 2 - cooking dinner & hostel hangouts
Tonight we can cook whatever you please! We'll plan, head to the shops and practise a cook-up, amongst other travellers.
After we'll enjoy our home-cooked meal, hang out in the gaming area or movie screen area - this cool hostel has it all!
Including play station, board games, pool table and more.
Day 3 - Bus to Fremantle Markets and brewery
This morning we're taking the bus to Fremantle, a hip and exciting area for the Fremantle Markets, followed by the Little Creatures Brewery for lunch.
Day 4 - The Perth Mint
Let's explore how money is made by visiting the Mint. We'll hear about the history of gold mining and the manufacturing of gold coin alongside a demonstration of how the gold coin is made
Day 4 - Fly back to Sydney
Its now times to farewell Perth and head back to Sydney
