25 nights accommodation *NB this a mix of apartment and hotel style accommodation. There could be a chance of a shared apartments with own bedrooms in a location we just cannot finalise accommodation until 12 months beforehand. Current accommodation listed are only guides.

What’s Not Included
Transport outside of rail travel is not included. This means transfers between train stations and hotels will need to be arranged independently (for example, via Uber or taxi).
For any included activities, you’ll need to make your own way to the meeting point or tour start location and organise your own transport back afterwards. Unfortunately, we’re unable to arrange transport beyond what is specified as included.
Meals outside of breakfast for 10 mornings when staying at hotels there are no meals included.
Visas
Travel Insurance
Taxes each city has its own city tax. Here’s a simple guide to what you can expect in the cities we’re visiting:
Amsterdam • 12.5% of your accommodation cost (one of the highest in Europe)
Berlin • 7.5% of the accommodation rate
Prague • 50 CZK (around €2) per person, per night
Vienna • 3.2% of the accommodation cost • Increasing to 5% from 1 July 2026
Budapest • 4% of the net accommodation rate
These taxes are very common across Europe and help cities maintain infrastructure and services. They’re usually a nightly amount and something to factor into your travel budget.
*** Cancellation Policy
Deposit
A non‑refundable, non‑transferable deposit of $1,000 AUD per person is required to secure your place on this journey.
Cancellation
The deposit is non‑refundable if you cancel.
However, if a replacement guest is found to take your place, the deposit may be refunded, less any administrative or re‑booking costs incurred.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. If we cannot find a suitable replacement, then the following cancellation policy will apply

- Up to 180 Days Before Tour Start: A $1000 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit will be retained.
- From 180 – 75 Days Before Tour Start: 25% of the tour cost, plus the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, will be forfeited.
- From 75 – 45 Days Before Tour Start: 50% of the tour cost, plus the non-refundable, non-transferable deposit, will be forfeited.
- Less Than 45 Days Before Tour Start or No Shows: The entire amount 100% of the tour cost will be retained, as we would have already incurred costs for accommodation, transport, flights, and activities, which cannot be refunded to us.
- After Tour Commencement: No refunds will be issued.
This is why travel insurance is compulsory. We suggest taking out travel insurance within 2 weeks of booking your tour.
