Walking Mentorship — Informed Consent
Please read carefully before confirming your participation.
The Walking Mentorship programs are a mentoring experience combining walking and nature, designed to help you revisit your personal and professional challenges. During the program you will experience a methodology created to help you gain perspective on what matters in your life, update your reality map, and create an action plan to achieve your ideal future.
To create the optimal conditions to reach our shared objectives, it is important that expectations and responsibilities are clear and aligned. By joining a Walking Mentorship program, you accept these terms.
Safety and Insurance
Although we make every effort to ensure a safe experience, there are inherent risks we cannot fully control, including but not limited to sprains and injuries, car accidents, animal bites, falls, health events, force majeure, and other unforeseeable circumstances.
WM will provide adequate information and will always seek to minimise these risks. However, you are responsible for your own safety, and we encourage you to remain attentive, cautious, and to ask for support whenever needed.
Travel insurance is mandatory. Your policy must cover the full duration of your trip and include a “cancel for any reason” clause to protect your investment in case of unexpected circumstances.
Food, Drinks and Dietary Requirements
Menus are preset or chosen from limited options. All three main meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — are included, along with a selection of drinks: water, house wine, beer, or juice. Due to the characteristics of some walking sections, certain lunches may be replaced by picnics that participants will receive and carry.
Please note that the included drinks are intended to complement meals in a reasonable and social manner. Additional drinks — including extra alcoholic beverages beyond what is served with meals — are not included and must be ordered and paid for by the participant directly.
If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please declare them in the appropriate form on your trip page so we can make the necessary arrangements with our local partners.
Accommodation and Room Arrangements
WM programs use a variety of lodging types. By default, participants are allocated to twin rooms. Single room supplements are available on most programs — please consult your trip's Highlights and Itinerary for details and availability.
Please note that certain itinerary stages may involve group dormitory-style accommodation, even for participants who have opted for the single room supplement. These exceptions are clearly indicated in the detailed itinerary for each program. By accepting this consent, you agree to sleep according to the arrangements set for each stage.
We strongly recommend bringing effective earplugs, as some participants may snore.
Walking and Backpack
Walking in nature is central to this program. You are expected to walk in natural settings and carry your own backpack throughout the experience. Carrying the backpack is an intentional part of the methodology, so it is important to keep it as light and comfortable as possible.
If you have a health condition that limits the weight you can carry, some routes offer luggage transfer services — please check the trip's Highlights and Itinerary. If you require alternative transport for any reason, we will do our best to arrange it, but this is not included in the program, may not always be possible, and will be at your own cost.
Photography, Social Media and Promotion
Participants are encouraged to take photographs and share their experiences. WM may also use content for promotional purposes. As this is a group experience, we cannot guarantee that you will not appear in photographs taken by other participants or by us.
Personal Data and Privacy (GDPR)
WM is based in the European Union and processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The personal data you provide — including contact details, dietary requirements, and health-related information relevant to your participation — will be used solely for the purposes of organising and delivering the program.
Your data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for program delivery (e.g. local accommodation and catering partners), and will not be used for marketing without your explicit consent. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us directly.
Photographs and other content in which you appear may be used for promotional purposes.
Responsibilities and Programme Adjustments
WM will make every effort to deliver the programme as announced. However, factors outside our control — including weather, natural events, or social unrest — may require adjustments or, in exceptional circumstances, make it impossible or unsafe to proceed as planned. In such cases, your WM Mentor will adapt the programme as best as possible.
You may withdraw from the programme at any time. However, once you have started the programme, no refund will be issued for the amounts paid. For cancellations made prior to departure, please refer to the Cancellation Policy below.
Minimum Number of Participants
Each programme requires a minimum of four participants. If this threshold is not met, WM reserves the right to propose an alternative date.
