

Coromandel Day Trip Experience
The Coromandel Day trip is now released!
Come with me as we explore the Thames Goldmine Experience, Coromandel Distilling: Awildian Gin, travel the stunning Thames Coast, stop for lunch at Waiomu Cafe, visit the 309 rd and finish it of with some adrenaline at Coro Zip-zip lining at Driving Creek Railway
This day trip will be limited to only four persons, so make sure you register your spot for the next available dates.
Itinerary;
- 9.30 meet up-Danby Field car park
- 10am Goldmine experience
- 11am Boutique Gin Tasting
- 12.15-12.30 lunch Waiomu Cafe, Thames coast
- Stop 309 rd- and visit Stewarts pigs
- 3.15 Driving Creek Zip Line (start 3.30pm,includes train ride, total duration approx 2.5 hours)
- 6.00pm head back to Thames ( approx 1 hour )
Cost is for all activities, transport to and from Thames and drink of your choice-Waiomu Cafe.

Come and explore the historic Thames Goldmines.
See how European settlers found gold on the peninsula and learn about the extraction process.
See a working stamper lovingly restored by local volunteers and walk some of the tunnels still remaining, right here in the town centre.

Get your adrenaline going and taker the plunge with us. Enjoy this experience in a fun and safe environment, where you’ll get to zip through the bush on x8 zip lines. As well you’ll learn about Barry Brickell, New Zealand potter, writer, conservationist and founder of Driving Creek Railway.
